Newly sworn-in Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette renewed Michigan’s challenge to “Obamacare” by signing onto the suit filed in the US District Court in Florida. With a ruling expected in the somewhat near future, Michigan is one of 31 parties (30 total states and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
The case, challenging the constitutionality of forcing citizens to purchase insurance, is similar to a case filed by the State of Virginia that already received a ruling favorable to the State.
